24/7 x Lyte Presents: Blacklyte • SXSW '24

🎯Campaign Objective: Produce a flagship SXSW activation celebrating Black excellence in music, creativity, and tech — while launching 24/7 Artists’ Creator SPC technology and elevating brand trust through community-led, artist-first programming. The goal was to create a high-impact, immersive event that amplified Black voices, showcased tech innovation, and fostered new relationships between fans, artists, and industry leaders.

Experiential Events & Brand Activation Campaign

Project: Full-Day Live Experience, Live Showcase, Community Activation
Role: Event Producer, Project Manager, Artist Liaison
Format: Panels, Live Performances, Brand Activation, Onsite Community Engagement

🧭 Project Overview: BLACKLYTE was a sold-out, full-day event at SXSW hosted by 24/7 Artists and Ari Collective Records in partnership with Lyte. Held at Inn Cahoots, a 6,500 sq. ft. indoor / outdoor venue in downtown Austin, the event featured performances by Goapele, Talib Kweli, Robert Randolph, and Mannywellz, alongside thought leadership panels and tech demos. This activation also served as the official launch of 24/7’s Creator SPC — a new community ownership model for artists. From branded lounge areas to an outdoor expo, BLACKLYTE fused creativity, equity, and innovation to offer a first-of-its-kind experience rooted in empowerment and cultural impact.

🧠 My Approach

As Event Producer and Project Manager, I led the full BLACKLYTE activation across indoor and outdoor spaces — including the production of the Creator SPC tech launch and branded outdoor expo. I managed artist relations, run-of-show planning, signage design, vendor coordination, and experiential layout for multiple stages and programming areas.

I was also responsible for reviewing venue blueprints and designing activation layouts across the 6,500 sq. ft. footprint — ensuring optimal flow, accessibility, and branding visibility. I worked cross-functionally with Lyte’s internal teams, Ari Collective, and 24/7 Artists to ensure that our event design, logistics, and brand storytelling reflected shared values of equity, innovation, and community care.
